Just Right

Just Right
Photo by Elijah Macleod on Unsplash

I wonder what it means to be loved, some days
I’m a capitalist at heart, all I want is everything to be just right,
I hope it makes me alright, informed, all days.
that’s the kind of treasure I hold in my heart for companionship

Do I concretize every moment, solidify every conversation,
canonize every image, so that I always have that feeling
the feeling of having everything, all the time, just right.

I want to be thoughtful, expressive, determined every day
but I’m not, and it makes me wonder, am I loved.
Is it my actions, my worth that makes me loved.
In my chase for every thing, have I lost everything

I’m human, and I just want to understand. Is that too much to ask?
