# Of Lilies' Growth

As we turn over another corner of our shared existence on this lovely homely rock we call our planet and the ever-moving gear of life we call society, I want to wish everyone a little beauty and offer a few words of encouragement for the coming times.

### \- Gentle -

We are a species on the edge or brink of something momentous. Of what, I do not claim to know. This however, places us in a precarious situation, where every second of our existence then becomes one of fight or flight. A struggle to determine if we shall live or let ourselves become excessively overwhelmed with the rigors of life.

I’m here to help make that choice easier, or if not, a little less worrisome so that it then is less of us reacting from a place of survival but from one of true humanity. For only then can we feel truly full of life. So I therefore implore you - ***Do not go gentle into that good night***.

### \- Grow -

So, how then can we refuse to go gently, you might ask. Only by living. By embracing our highs and lows as what they are; opportunities. Opportunities for change, dynamic events which can then shape who we are.

I won’t act all guru-like, imploring you to solve every problem by looking on the bright side of things and the power that comes from thinking positively. I am well aware of the world we live in, its weaknesses, fallacies and much more.

However, the only reason these platitudes work is because there is a modicum of truth to them, and that is the power of mindset and how it can help us grow. When we truly believe in our ability to effect change on our own circumstances, the possibilities of what we can accomplish are endless.

So, while you strive to continue to be present each day, don’t forget to take a step forward.

### \- of lilies -

A new year is upon us, new beginnings, new struggles and new hopes. We’re capable of much, and it is of this I shall finish with. Don’t give up, the previous year might have been one of overwhelming stress, or loss. Your feelings of having no direction might have endured, or it might have been a loss of security in one form or another.

I hear you and I understand, but despite this, no in fact, because of this we must continue ahead. For if we do not, if you don’t, no one will for you.

The bane of our existence lies therein, we are our only hope and without a doubt, just imagining that image of yourself as a child, wild-like wanderlust full behind those little eyes and mischief creeping into that childish smile must be a reminder.

A reminder that that is who you’re fighting for, that child within who only wants to see a beautiful world and one full of life. That child with the radiance of a lily and its beauty uncorrupted.

So therefore, keep growing, keep moving, see you on the other side.
